Essential Practices For Your Self Care Routine

We all have those days where we just need a little treat like a face mask or a really good bath. But what’s better than an indulgent day every once and a while? Building a routine that focuses on self-care, of course.

Whether you’re looking for a weekly routine for a Sunday kick-start to the work week or something to integrate into every morning, here are just a couple essential practices to include and how to make them happen:

1. Journaling

This one might be something you’ve tried and given up on a couple times. It seems like a great idea at first, use a notebook to really reflect and have a space to get out all those emotions you don’t want boiling up at the wrong time. But how do you make this self-care essential a habit?

Making something a usual part of your day is hard no matter the task, but when it’s something as time consuming as journaling you’ll need to take the extra mile. Make sure you time block your day in your calendar and set a reminder when you wake up – or go to sleep, whenever you prefer – to really make sure you’re on top of it every day. Even if you’re not in the mood, or you didn’t have a spectacularly news-worthy day, take the time to write something, even if it’s not long.

If you make sure to follow those reminders and push yourself to write no matter what, this reflective activity will be part of your routine in no time.

2. Self-Massage

There’s nothing better than going for a massage, honestly, but not everyone can afford to dish out the fee every time they’re in need of a little relaxing. There’s so many benefits to massage – like increased levels of serotonin and reduced muscle inflammation – that it’s a must as part of your self-care goals. So how do we get all these without going to a therapist?

Well, that’s where self-massage comes in. It may seem kind of silly, but there are lots of exercises you can actually perform on yourself to get that perfect massage in a pinch. The belly massage can be done in bridge pose while massaging your lower belly and working your way up to the ribcage. The neck massage – one you may already be doing after a long day at work – involves tilting your head back and squeezing the muscles at the base of your neck.

Overall, these simple exercises are not only great for muscle relief but also for relaxing at the end of a hard day.

3. Exercise

This might seem obvious, but if you’re looking to really take care of yourself, exercise is a must for your routine. For some it might even seem counter-intuitive, because when your treating yourself do you really want to work out of all things?

The trick for using exercise in a self-care routine is to make sure you aren’t overtraining and to pick routines that make you feel happy, energized, and good afterwards. You shouldn’t dread a workout, but instead focus on how it made you feel in body and mind. When you work out, adrenaline floods to the brain which can help clear your thoughts and ease muscle pain. Focus on this feeling when amping yourself up for the gym and build a workout plan that makes you feel this way every time, like high intensity cardio intervals.

Getting in a good workout might seem like a drag to add to your weekly or daily routine, but the energized and happy feelings you get after will be totally worth it.

4. Skin Care

Taking care of your skin doesn’t just have to be for your beauty routine, but can be made into a truly relaxing practice. No matter your skin type and beauty needs, finding the right products and ingredients is important as it can be super helpful in getting the relaxing experience you need.

One trick to turn beauty care into self care is by paying attention to the smells of your products. I know, who cares, right? Well beyond just making sure your products are skin healthy, look for essential oils and fragrances that make you feel good too. Natural smells like chamomile, rosemary, and green tea work to sooth your skin and mind at the same time.

This is a great addition to your self care routine as you probably already do some form of it weekly already, just make sure you’re choosing the best routine to make you feel at your best.

So, what do you do as part of your self-care routine? Let us know in the comments!

How Pampering Yourself Can Actually Improve Your Health

For a long time “treating yourself” has seemed like a purely selfish act with absolutely no benefit. But what if pampering yourself was actually good for you?

Here are a few things that are both selfish and great for you. Because whoever said taking care of you was ever a bad thing:

1. Shop Till You Drop

Not literally in this case. Because recent studies have shown that retail therapy might not just be an excuse to shop, but a real scientifically proven way to reduce stress and improve your health.

There are a lot of benefits to shopping, but some of the ones we normally think of is relaxation and escape. People tend to find the act of walking around, trying clothes on, and not even buying anything a type of relaxation akin to meditation.

Beyond just being relaxing by nature, shopping also has the benefit of being a social activity, which can help trigger happy chemicals in our brain from human connection. Pair these things with the physical activity you get from walking while shopping, it’s an easy way to keep healthy while still indulging in something just for you.

2. Treat Yourself To A Massage

For a long time, massage was viewed only as something that spa-goers indulged in for a little relaxation. Today, however, the world has begun to recognize massage therapy’s many health benefits, both mental and physical.

The most obvious health benefit from massage is anxiety and stress relief from it’s calming and neutralizing affect. Beyond that, it’s also been proven to help greatly with digestive disorders and insomnia.

But what if you want to treat yourself but you’re a little squeamish about the random person touching you part?

Well there’s something called self-massage which is exactly what it sounds like. Some techniques are the belly massage, where you sit in bridge position and massage up your stomach, or the neck massage where you roll your head backwards and forwards to really get into the muscle.

3. Pop A Bottle Of Your Best Red

One of the more popular scientific discoveries of late is that a glass of wine a day might actually be good for you. Wine lovers rejoice!

Among some benefits found from ingesting wine daily is preserving memory, burning more calories a day, protecting against ovarian cancer, and even reducing insulin resistance.

Obviously, any type of alcohol is dangerous in excess, but if you’re a wine lover a glass a day might actually give you an advantage in the health department. Make sure you pair your daily intake with a healthy diet so you can live a happier, healthier life.

4. Take A Long Bath

I think almost anyone could have guessed this one. Nothing that feels as good as a hot bath after a long day’s work could be bad for you, right? Taking a bath is more than just relaxing and muscle healing, though.

A new study has showed that taking a bath can burn calories just like exercise. The science revolves around a relatively new concept called “passive heating”, where you can simulate heat experienced during exercise with other means.

The study showed that an hour-long bath resulted in an average of 140 calories burned in the subjects, around the same in a short walk.

Other studies like this one also explored how passive heating can help reduce heart disease and lower blood pressure.

So, stop thinking of your weekly bubble bath as a luxury and start thinking of it as a workout, because it has a lot of the same effects.

5. Get Your Nails Done

It’s hard to believe that getting a mani-pedi could be anything but frivolous and indulgent. But with nail care becoming a daily activity for most young people, it’s seem obvious that people would start to think of how it might be beneficial to us.

One of the best benefits of getting manicure is the relaxation that comes with being out of control. When you’re at a salon with your fingers wet, you can’t check your phone or email, it’s like a mini-vacation from life.

But what’s also interesting, is how painting nails can be similar to meditation. Because it requires focus, it’s hard to think of a million other things while doing your nails. Similar to how colouring books are considered art therapy now, so can the art of painting your nails.

So, don’t be afraid to pop into the salon or do them yourself, it might just help your mental health.

What selfish thing do you do that keeps you healthy? Let us know in the comments!

Things To Include In Your Diet For Mental Health

Maybe you’re watching your diet because you’re trying to lose weight, or maybe you’re just trying to live a healthier lifestyle in general. But did you know certain foods have an effect on our brains too? When choosing your diet, you always want to make sure you know how the ingredients of each meal you have interact with your body, but don’t forget to make sure you’re getting the right food for your brain too.

Here’s just a couple foods and ingredients to include in your diet for a happy and healthier mind:

1. Blueberries

The antioxidant rich berries are pretty well known for being at the top of all superfood lists. But did you know blueberries are actually great for your brain too? According to recent research, the berries have a strong relation to reduced stress, anti-aging, and higher cognitive abilities. Overall, because they are so healthy for both your body and mind, they should be an essential part of any good diet.

2. Turkey Breast

You might not be surprised to hear that that sleepy, happy feeling you get after Thanksgiving has a scientific reason behind it. Turkey is a great producer of the chemical serotonin in the brain which is responsible for feelings of happiness and well-being. If you’re looking for a stress-combating addition to your diet, turkey breast sandwiches or ground turkey dinners are a perfect way to keep you relaxed day after day.

3. Salmon

Any fish with a high-fat content can substitute for this one, but researchers rave on the mental benefits you can get from salmon. First of all, salmon has a huge amount of Omega 3-s, which aren’t just important for your physical health but great for your brain also. They’ve been shown to slow diseases like Alzheimer’s in the long term and can ward off learning impairments if they are integrated in your daily diet.

4. Dark Leafy Greens

Adding more green to your diet is never a bad thing, but some studies are showing that dark leafy vegetables are also great in helping memory. One opinion is that this is due to the amount of folate in the brain which may slow the amount of dying nerve cells keeping your memory in tact. Though more research needs to be done to really pin down what’s going on here, it’s clear that adding some leafy greens to your diet can only help.

5. Eggs

Like most people, I just don’t feel right if I don’t have a good egg for breakfast. But new studies are showing that regular egg intake – specifically the vitamin D found in eggs – is important for avoiding cognitive decline as you age. It’s important that you eat a whole egg too, as it’s that yellow yolk that contains all the vitamin D you need to kickstart your day and a healthy brain.

6. Red Wine

Okay so not an item in a “diet” per se, but it’s pretty cool that red wine might actually be good for us too. Turns out that red wine is super rich with polyphenols which could be delaying and slowing early on-set Alzheimer’s. Though there is no cure for Alzheimer’s, adding foods to your diet that delay the on-set of the disease can be really important. Try with just a glass of red wine a night and get closer to a healthy, happier you.

7. Avocados

It’s well known that saturated fat is important for brain function as it’s a part of every brain cell. It shouldn’t be surprising, then, that avocados are on this list. The fats found in avocados also help blood flow, helping more blood reach the brain which helps it to function at its best. Overall, including an avocado into some of your meals is not only great for your body – as it’s also shown to prevent heart disease – but also your mind.

8. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil may very well be the ingredient to save us all. From boosting fat loss to clearing acne, coconut oil does it all. But what does it do for our brains? Similar to avocados, coconut oil is high in saturated fats which automatically make it great for cognitive function. However, the great thing about this oil – compared to vegetable oils – is that it contains medium-chain triglycerides which acts as great fuel for your brain to make sure it’s not losing too many brain cells. It’s such a versatile oil too, that can be used in cooking, as an egg replacement in baking, and even as a moisturizer.

5 Natural Ways To Boost Your Energy Throughout The Day

We’ve all been victim to the sudden 2PM energy crash at work, where you went from being in the zone for this extra-important project to being completely incapable of spending another minute in the office. Most of us, at this point, go for our fourth cup of coffee or energy bar to get our focus back, but what other options do we have?

Here a five, entirely natural and good-for-you ways to boost your energy throughout your busy day.

1. Walk It Out

If you have a friend with a FitBit, you’ll know that walking enough daily will vastly change your health. But what does it do for you mentally?

Well it’s been proven that morning exercise is a contributor to energy, but if you happen to miss that morning’s trip to the gym, there’s good news. Walking, even a little bit, every hour of the day has the same effect on your energy levels and can even stave off fatigue, which exercise won’t.

What’s even more interesting is the study also showed that small intervals of movement during the day can also help you with food cravings and balance your mood, making you literally a healthier and happier you.

The best method? Avoid burnout at all by making it a goal to take 250 steps (3-5 minutes of walking) every hour. Whether it’s to grab a quick snack or go to the bathroom, push yourself to get up and moving.

Don’t think just because you exercised this morning that you can sit still the rest of the day! Small steps can mean huge results.

2. Apple A Day Keeps Fatigue At Bay

Like so many other people, you might be realizing the damaging effects that caffeine might be having on your body over time. And if you’re like me, you still need something to keep you awake through the day.

Well, it seems that a proper diet might be just what you need.

Turns out having certain foods in your diet isn’t just good for your physical health but can have huge impacts on your mental health too. Certain foods produce chemicals in our brain that affects our moods throughout the day.

One really special fruit is an apple, among foods that can boost and sustain your energy throughout the day. Apples contain a variety of healthy vitamins, but more importantly, contain a great balance of fiber, natural sugars, and carbs. These things make them great at filling you up for longer and giving you a kick of energy that your body needs.

Overall, look for foods that are filling and contain healthy sugars for an energy boost.

3. Take In the Sun

You might feel the affects of a nice day on your mood, but did you know there’s actually a scientific reason why the sun makes you feel better?

Vitamin D, which you can get in foods or by exposure to UVB light from the sun, is extremely important in improving sleep and staving off fatigue. One case study of a woman with consistent daytime fatigue found that after integrating Vitamin D supplements into her diet, she slept through the night and felt more energized the next day.

Though long exposures to sun can be draining from dehydration and heat, small amounts can give you that kick of Vitamin D that you need. During the spring and summer months, make sure to have your lunch out of office so you can soak up the sun and get that extra bit of energy throughout the rest of the day.

Not sunny enough? Try looking to integrate Vitamin D into your diet more to see if that lifts your spirits more throughout the day.

4. Stretch It Out

So even if your back isn’t sore, you may want to start thinking about stretching more at your desk. Beyond just easing your muscles, stretching throughout your work day can actually have an amazing affect on your brain.

When you stretch, you get the blood flowing in your body. This sends oxygen through your bloodstream and to your brain, helping it to work faster and harder. This in turn lifts your mood and makes you feel more energized and focused.

This phenomenon is probably the most natural way to get that extra boost of energy without having to take much time away from whatever your project you have on the go.

Once you’re feeling a little flat on energy, try a couple at-desk stretches! The simplest one is probably one you already do, where you twist in your chair to stretch your back. Another is to stretch your chest area, by clasping your hands behind your back and pushing your chest forward.

If you’re really committed, hamstring and calf stretches can do wonders for your mood as they bring together movement and stretching.

5. Laugh It Off

This might be the most unusual of the list, but bare with me here.

Think of the last time you really laughed, like tears to your eyes, achy belly kind of laugh. Now think about how you felt for hours after that. Did your mood stay up? Did you feel happier throughout the day?

This is one of the many benefits that laughter has for your body and mind.

First, laughter is a natural muscle relaxant, and similar to stretching, can help blood flow easier and therefore increase your energy for up to 45 minutes. It also generates endorphins, the enemy of the stress hormone, which will make you feel happier and more at ease for the rest of the day.

But does that mean you have to force yourself to laugh at 2PM every day? Well, you can, but there are other options. Try taking a short break to watch a funny video – if your office allows it – or chat with a colleague. If you’re the boss or have a loose workplace, see if you can integrate humour in the office! Things like Christmas decoration battles or who can cough the loudest may seem disruptive, but can actually be beneficial to everyone’s productivity.

How Crystal Healing Can Help

In this post we are going to go over the basics of crystal healing and how it can help you in your day to day life along with Reiki therapy.

Crystals help to create balance. So when we hold them or place them on our bodies, they allow us to match them in their vibrations.

And if there is any disharmony or imbalance in any aspect of within ourselves, the crystal will then harmonize that.

Its quite a heavy stone and metallic by nature. Its very good for grounding and anchoring. It helps for those suffering with insomnia and for those with difficulty trying to sleep.

You can place the stone next to your head on the pillow or beside you and even onto the body.

This is a great stone to have in your collection in needing to relax, needing to feel more calmer, stillness and quietness.

It helps you relax and brings more tranquility to your body. So if you are feeling hyper active, Hematite is great for this.

A great place to put it is beneath your feet if you are lying down or under your bed to help you connect with the earth and help ground you in.

You can also hold them in your hand, or even hold two where you have one in each hand and then sit in stillness and meditation and let the crystal do its work.

Rose Quartz

Another quiet well known crystal is called Rose Quartz.

It’s for the heart, its a pink colour, and the colour of the crystal gives you an indication of what they do and how they work.

You can place it on the heart chakra, it helps on an emotional level, giving you more calmness and security.

You may be feeling emotional trauma or any kind of negativity on an emotional level.

It is also good for any kind of disharmony around relationships and partnerships. It can help smooth conflict and bring calm and clarity on an emotional level.

It can also help you to release pain associated with emotional attachments so to create more balance in the heart and emotions and just create more harmony in the heart centre bringing through more love and joy in life.

This is another one you will want to have in your collection.

Another beautiful crystal which is also associated with the third eye.

Placing it on your third eye while lying down really helps to harmonize and balance this area. In the third eye we can hold a lot of clutter, which can accumulate from watching a lot of television or even interacting with others in an outdoor negative environment.

So using an amethyst for 5 to 10 minutes can really help you find more balance and clear the fog and creates more clarity and knowing.

Clear Quartz

It looks very outer worldly when you look into it.

It is amazing and well known and used, and one you will need in your collection.

The clear quartz is an amplifier where it amplifies, so if you were to use two crystals together, you could use the amethyst and the clear quartz together, and the amethyst will amply and strengthen and magnify its potential and healing effect.

You can combine it with any crystal, and it also bring clarity, and find the truth in things.

As its clear, you can seek to clear up any area and can cleanse things quickly.

If you are cluttered in the mind, this crystal is also great for that, especially when you feel you cant think clearly or make decisions or take actions.

Its great for manifestation, and also if you have two stones, you can again hold one in each hand, and the crystal will do its work. And be in a place of stillness and open yourself to receive the gifts what the crystal embodies.

How To Become A Reiki Master

My name is Jose Leon, and I’m a Reiki practitioner and master teacher and today I’m just gonna talk a little bit about what to expect if you come in and learn Reiki with me in one of my many Reiki Training Classes.

I am proud to help my students develop and learn more about themselves and how they can help others by becoming Reiki Practitioners.

In this post, I want to discuss how to become a reiki master which is an incredible way to take your previous teachings to a new level.

One tip I can give you before you start signing up is to make sure you write out what you want to get from this experience and training as that will provide you insight and goals into your desires for growth.

The way my programs are structured is that in level 1 you will learn treatments for yourself at first, that is your first degree Reiki healer, at that point you perform attunement where you learn some of the history of Reiki as well as you learn the hand positions and all that’s involved so that by the end you can go home and you’re good to go to do Reiki on yourself.

You can try as much of Reiki on yourself as you can so preferably every day and maybe even pay a bit of attention to what you eat it’s a bit like a detox you know when you start out and you just sort of make sure that the whole body is good to go then.

In level 2 is where you start learning how to do treatment on others so you might learn how to see a client if you want to become a practitioner or you just take that away and do at home little treatments for your friends and family.

You also will learn how to send Reiki over a distance and how you can help maybe family members who are abroad or friends who are not actually with you. And you also learn a few more of the healing symbols so level 2 is all about getting your hands in there getting lots of practice so you can sense and learn how to use your intuition to place your hands and to really get all of that experience.

In level 3 is where we go even deeper and go in and tune into the energy and at that point usually people notice a lot more heat coming from the hands when they do a Reiki treatment.

So if you’re interested in learning how to do Reiki and if you’re interested in how I teach, you will want to come down and register for a class, and make sure to contact me if you have any questions.

Best to you, Jose Leon

Why Reiki Is So Powerful

In the universe, there are two things that exist, one of them is matter, and the second one is energy, in which Reiki directly affects energy out of the two.

As a form of working with energy, Reiki has the capability to expand beyond most of traditional energy and healing modalities.

For many years, many forms of energy work have been put to use. The Chinese for instance have practiced acupuncture from as early as 400 BC, and mind and body techniques have been seen and used in Europe and North America since the 1700’s.

And as we all know, that when mentally we feel a lot better, we also physically do too, and a lot of this is because of the fact that this is due to our energy when we are happy and relaxed.

Reiki is very powerful because of the fact that it goes beyond the need for intension, but instead gives way the energy completely to the guidance of the universe.

It is very important for the Reiki Master to bless the practice as well as cleanse the practice space. Yet the energy itself can’t and won’t deluge the person receiving the treatment.

When the energy from Reiki starts to travel from the practitioners hands to the patient, it’s now up to the patient to receive that energy and open themselves up to this great potential to allow the energy to flow and do what it needs to do in order for the person receiving to continually aim for growth.

Reiki itself is a very intelligent energy and will certainly interact with other areas of the person that requires an extra push of life’s healing force.

It has been shown to be very effective in today’s world. Hospitals for example have also begun to implement Reiki practitioners into their medical system. Intentional energy healing has continued to be very effective.

As its a very flexible healing practice, Reiki is able to be a wonderful supplement to traditional medicine as it has been proven that Reiki has no side effects.

Reiki is truly a universal energy that wilfully flows in and throughout you, with a pure and true intention to help heal you in all the many different ways that you need.

How To Relax After A Long Day At Work

Had a long, chaotic day at work? How do you feel right now? Mentally exhausted? Bet you wish you could go on a long vacation right now, or that it was Friday evening, not Tuesday night. Well, the human body is not meant for continuous work. Perhaps you will find the tips given here on how to relax after a long day at work useful. Read on!

Take A Long Relaxing Shower

If you’ve had a particularly tiring day at work, nothing would relax you more than to wash it off – the stress, the arguments, the tension – as soon as you’re home. It is said that water has a relaxing effect on the body, mind, and soul. Take a long, relaxing shower, ensure that the water is of the right temperature, wear your most comfortable pair of clothes, hit the couch and watch your favourite show on TV.

Hit The Gym

After 8 hours of sitting at the desk in the office, you may want to get your body moving and engage your pent up energy. Intense physical activity is just what you need. So, hit the gym! Spend around 10 minutes on the treadmill first, that would warm you up for the resistance training exercises to follow. Lift weights; exercise all the main muscle groups –back, shoulders, legs, arms, and the core. Or just go for a quick 30-minute run around the neighbourhood – that would clear up the mind as well.

Turn Off Your Phone

The last thing you need is for the phone to ring when you’re home. You don’t want to bring work home, so turn off the phone. Make it clear to your coworkers not to call you up with work related issues after office hours. You’ve worked hard enough at the office, and now you deserve a time-off from all the work. After-office hours are to be spent with your family and friends. So make the most of it, turn off the phone as soon as you’re home. Detach yourself completely from work.

Indulge Your Taste Buds

After you’ve had a particularly tough day at work, you’re probably short on energy and need to satiate your hunger. So indulge yourself with something sumptuous and tasty. What’s your favourite food? Is it ice cream? Have a scoop or two, till you’re completely satisfied. How about dark chocolate? It makes for a perfect cheat food, even when you’re on a diet. Replenish your calorie supply with a hearty meal. You need foods that give you energy, so have plenty of healthy carbs.

Spend A Relaxing Evening With Your Family

Nothing would relax you more than a quiet evening with your partner, a long chat on Skype with your sister or parents, or helping out your kids with their homework. Indeed, if you’ve got kids, you should consider yourself lucky because kids are the greatest stress-busters. But never talk to your family about work – just don’t bring work home. Nobody would like that.

Read A Good Book

The value of a good book is often underrated. Pick up an old classic on your Kindle, something you’d read a long while back, which you’d completely forgotten about. Or pick up the latest bestseller from a popular author. If you’re not a big reader, that’s okay, you can just catch up on your favourite TV show, or watch a great movie on Netflix.

Listen To Great Music

Music can be deeply relaxing. Just go to your room, tune in to your iPod and play something soothing, such as classical music. It is best to stay away from rock music or Hip Hop as that would only serve to aggravate you further. You want to listen to music that relaxes you, not loud music that plays on your nerves.

How Does Reiki Work As A Healing Practice

New to Reiki for spiritual or vibrational healing? In this blog post, we’ll introduce you to the ancient practice of Reiki, as well as just some of the ways that it can be beneficial for mind, body, and soul.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient Japanese practice. The name derives from two Japanese words; “rei”,which means “universal life”, and “ki”, which is commonly translated as “energy”.

Reiki is not based upon any specific religion but is founded on the belief that we have all have invisible “life force” that runs within us. When this energy is running low, this is when we are likely to feel sick, tired, or just… not ourselves. When it is high, this is when we are at our most healthy, vibrant and creative.

Reiki helps to restore the flow of energy through the body in a physical and tactile way – the practioner lays his or her hands on the patient and, and in this way channels life force through touch. In this way, it raises our energetic “vibration”. This method promotes the body’s own healing processes, and effectively creates an overall sense of wellbeing.

Reiki for physical and spiritual healing

A Reiki session aims to promote healing on both a mental and physical level. As a form of therapy, it’s known to reduce stress and help to ease pain in the body. While Reiki is not necessarily a cure for illnesses, it is more designed to promote feelings of wellness in the body and soul. It can be used in combination with a number of other treatments and medicines.

There are many common instances in our lives when we might feel the benefits of the healing power of Reiki. Here are just a few scenarios in which Reiki healing might be helpful:

Comfort during difficult times – Reiki can ease the spirit when you are experiencing troubles in your life. Feelings of being overwhelmed or unable to cope can be distressing and isolating, and the practice of Reiki can bring about feelings of peace and serenity.

Supportive during pregnancy – Reiki can help to calm and reassure women at any stage of their pregnancy. It can help her to relax and find serenity during a potentially worrisome time.

Stress and anxiety – Reiki can be used effectively to combat the symptoms of excess stress and anxiety by calming down the patient and promoting relaxation.

What happens in a Reiki session?

A Reiki session typically lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. It will begin with an informal discussion, which is your opportunity to discuss your particular ailment or concern with your practitioner. This will help them to tailor your Reiki session.

You will then be invited to sit back, fully-clothed, in a comfortable chair in order for your Reiki session to begin. Sometimes the practitioner will lay their hands upon your body in certain places, and sometimes they will hover their hands above your body to promote healing.
